Times are tough, the economy is in a downwards and people are finding it difficult to obtain credit. None of this is a secret.
Then someone starting a business in this economy will have it tough. That's not to say that it is not worth, I'm going through the process of creating a company-me moment. But it is something that needs to take into consideration.
But with the credit crunch by so many potential entrepreneurs where is someone looking to start their own businesses should make sure they have bad credit? Bad credit won't affect only start-up loans to enterprises, but even something as basic as start a bank account.
Luckily it is still possible to open a business bank account in United Kingdom if you have bad credit. The Royal Bank of Scotland and Natwest banks both opened ' basic ' bank accounts (known as Foundation accounts) for those wishing to start a business but have bad credit.
Although it is not available to anyone with a history of fraud or any person declared bankrupt these accounts can be a God send to who wants to start his own company and that have a history of no credit checks.
Accounts provide access to books of cheques, debit cards, direct debits and standing orders. They will not include access to any loan, but for anyone who has been struggling to get a business account and not fancy paying by a specialized company set a for them must seek good mileage from these accounts.
There are other options, as I've mentioned there are companies that specialize in creating bank accounts for companies with owners who have a bad credit rating. How they work, I don't know, but I know that they charge a fee for their services.
And we all know that when you're starting a company that every penny counts and thus not having a business bank account if you have bad credit.
