It can be frustrating sometimes, but you can start to rebuild your financial life. Get a free copy of your credit report from annualcreditreport.com. Once you get your report, review it for accounts that are erroneous, misleading and not yours. After scanning your report, write your dispute credit manually or using a program of Word. Ask the credit Bureau to remove negative information, because it is incorrect. The credit Bureau will send you an updated report, indicating the item as deleted or no change. If this happens and the item is not yours, you can apply the following three techniques to try and get the misleading account outside your report.
A step towards a dispute a credit:
Do the creditor proves that is your debt
Challenge of debt with the creditor, calling them and asking for proof that you have debt. Proof, i.e. a copy of the original credit application or loan application with your subscription. In addition, ask them to your payment history showing you were late at that particular day. If the creditor cannot prove adverse information reported, they should delete it according to the FCRA. Give them 10 days to reply to your letter. If they do not provide an answer, contact the Office of the Attorney General in the State of the creditor. You want to let them know that the creditor is reporting negative information in your credit report when they cannot provide evidence. This is a violation of federal law and serves as the basis for a lawsuit.
Let them know that you have grounds to sue them for $ 5000 per item disputed who refuse to investigate. After you have informed them, then you can repeat your dispute. By sending this letter to your legal department, you are more than likely get a response.
A step towards a two: credit dispute
Go straight to your legal department
Write a letter to your legal department, asking them why they have updated some accounts inaccurate, but others don't. In addition, request a copy of the completed form used and check the contract information of the creditor who responded to the verification. You also want the creditor's name, title and telephone number and a copy of the documents relied on as proof of debt.
A step towards a three: credit dispute
Advise a lawyer
If necessary, let them know that you have contact with a lawyer and is considering a lawsuit to the intentional non-compliance (FCRA-616). This option should be considered once you have explored several alternatives listed earlier. If you move a lawsuit, you need to have the full documentation of their attempts to contact the Bureau, compete each negative brand and explain your situation. Be sure to keep copies of each letter for their own records and appreciate too.
